    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under the direction of Vice President, Systems and Infrastructure or Business Analyst Supervisor, this position serves as the help desk for Yardi software issues and assists with system upgrades and enhancements. Also provides guidance to the Staff Development Department for Property Management, Finance and other departmental Yardi trainings. The role will assist with new module/function rollouts, and user specific trainings.

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Provide Yardi and associated systems support to property and corporate staff. (90%)
      • Troubleshoots and corrects application technical issues
      • Manages internal ticketing system for Yardi issues
      • Reviews release notes and known issues documentation for plug-in updates
      • Communicates procedural changes to staff due to system upgrades
      • Assists with cost benefit analysis and demoing of new modules
      • Makes recommendations for systems improvement and innovative solutions
      • Works to ensure all regulatory programs and site restrictions are correctly set up in Yardi
      • Works to ensure Yardi is being utilized effectively by each department, and identifies additional departmental needs
      • Creates ad-hoc Yardi reports
      • Completes property setups and troubleshoots errors and issues on property copy jobs
    • Works with the Staff Development department to ensure correct usage and best practices are relayed accurately for in person staff trainings, helps to develop web based trainings to be delivered through the Learning Management System. Helps identifies areas in which additional training is needed. (10%)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field, from a four-year college or university preferred; equivalent education and experience accepted. 

     

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents or staff of the organization.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other staff of the organization.

     

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. 


     

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve technical and people problems logically and creatively with minimal supervision or direction.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. 

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must have reliable automobile transportation, a valid California Driver’s License and insurance. Minimum three years’ advanced experience with Yardi Voyager, preferably with Affordable and Core Financial modules.

     

    OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Affordable property management or compliance experience preferred, i.e. LIHTC, Rural Development, HUD Programs, etc.
    • Positive attitude, good sense of humor, energetic, assertive, and a capable role model for colleagues.
    • Demonstrated integrity on a professional level.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with government housing subsidy programs and regulatory agencies.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, etc.
    • Knowledge of ySQL, YSR and/or SSRS.
    • Ability to handle a large number of projects at once and shifting priorities in a fast paced environment.
    • Ability to coordinate training activities.
    • Second language a plus.
