    POSITION SUMMARY

    Eden Housing is seeking a summer Operations Data Intern to assist in special projects for the Systems and Infrastructure Department. This includes analyzing internal operations data to produce report deliverables and dashboards, and other projects to assess and improve Eden’s operational capacity.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Data collection, analysis, and visualization.
    • Assist with collecting and retrieving data from various data systems.
    • Assist with research and gathering data from outside sources.
    • Assist with tracking and reporting to senior executives on key business metrics.

    Qualifications

     

     Intern must have current experience in ALL of the areas listed below:

     

    • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in analytics, business, economics, statistics or other related fields (Graduate students are especially encouraged to apply)
    • Ability to process and analyze data sets, and convey analyses with the most efficient and intuitive visual methods
    • Demonstrated experience producing charts, graphs and report writing
    • Strong passion and curiosity for data and data-driven decision making to solve business problems
    • Have excellent time management skills, be a self-starter and self-directed.
    • Strong computer skills, high proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
    • High attention to detail with strong analytical and quantitative skills
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, schedule and meet deadlines

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

    • Experience and/or knowledge of business, finance, and statistical concepts.
    • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative data analysis in affordable housing resident services or related fields.
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and SQL is preferred.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

    Must have reliable automobile transportation, a valid California Driver’s License, and automobile insurance. 

     

    LANGUAGE & MATH SKILLS

    Ability to read and write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
